Coach development programmes

"Ensuring anyone new to squash has a great experience when they start is essential for the survival of our sport. We just have to get this right." Canterbury sports are committed to teaming up and finding strength in collaboration, and a global pandemic has only heightened interest in working together – to the credit of all codes involved. This initiative by Squash Canterbury tapped into insights from cricket and netball. “They sought this fresh perspective and it has paid off. Their coaches are inspired, the numbers of new female coaches are growing, and youth participation is on the rise."
